Back in Bombay - Rock On

4 city tour is over. Thanks to RSJ and the whole LiveAlive festival. It was pretty much a whirlwind to cover 10 different cities in two weeks...5 different countries in three weeks. Living the dream, man! Living the dream. They never tell you how difficult it is to be on the road WITHOUT roadies. It's the simple things that are tough to get done...like
washing your clothes (i was reduced to doing so in hotel sinks)
sleeping
eating food that doesn't make you vomit after three weeks of it

Also, if you're in India, chances are you have heard of the film ROCK ON. This film touches on the Indian Rock Music scene/Underground...
My favorite parts about the film are...Purab Kohli who plays the drummer. He was convincing, funny, and natural. Also, Sahana Goswami, the fashion designer in the film...her performance really puts her on the map as an actress to be watched in the future. She has conviction, passion, and really portrays her character with so much truth. Farhan Akhtar's debut as well was pretty damn good if you ask me. Cheers to all those involved.

Shaa'ir + func are also in two scenes for a lengthy 10-20 seconds as ourselves! Why not, we say, why not?

But that's besides the point.

The real thing I want to acknowledge is that there is an entire film based around the need and desire to be an independent musician in India.

It's about damn time.

Hi.

I'm not going to lie to you and say I'm a die hard fan of your music but I will say that I have been stalking you down for days on end and after google searching religiously what I thought was the title of the song you played in Rock On! clearly a Godsend pointed me in the right direction (run-on sentence, much?). I have lectures in a few hours and I have been soaking in everything I can about your music that I can find on the world wide web.

So I'm not a die hard fan. But I'm certainly on the way of becoming one.

I'm gutted that I hadn't heard of you while you were playing in London because that's a show I definitely would have wanted to see. Nevermind, better late than never. I do hope you make your way back to the Capital as I can't wait to see you performing live. From all the Youtube videos I have watched, you guys deliver and amazing performance.

Hope to see you in London soon. Or anywhere in the UK really.

Your beats will be keeping me company while my lecturer drones on about aircraft performances. So thank you for that and take care.

What's the song that you're performing in that short scene of the party? I'd really like to know...
